Description:

Our client has an immediate need for an IBM Middleware Platform Engineer, who will be responsible for assisting the application development teams with eliminating depreciated code in the current platform and assisting them with other issues as they develop against the new platform

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree is a plus
• Any IBM, Operational Decision Manager (ODM), WebSphere, or OpenShift certifications are a plus
• 2-4 years of experience
• Experience with IBM MQ Series, IBM Operational Decision Manager Developer, and IBM Operational Decision Manager Developer v8
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and REST API Development
• Experience with WebSphere Liberty (WAS Liberty) and WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment (WAS ND)
• Experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) v9 and Helm Charts is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and support IBM middleware products (MQ, ODM, WAS Liberty/ND) across development, QA, and production environments
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for internal service integration
• Deploy, monitor, and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to automate deployments and ensure reliable middleware services
• Implement platform upgrades, patches, and performance tuning on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Maintain high availability and disaster recovery strategies for middleware environments
• Provide technical leadership and support during application integration and troubleshooting
• Document system configurations, procedures, and operational practices
